Individual Learning Plan (ILP)

Q. What is an Individual Learning Plan (ILP)?

A. Your ILP is a record of you and your learning and consists of the following parts:-

Part 1 : This will review your skills and your reasons for learning

Part 2 : This will be completed by your e-tutor if you are studying a Skills for Life course

Part 3 : This will completed by you and your e-tutor for each course you undertake

Part 4 : This will review your learning when you have completed your course

Q. Why is the ILP so important?

A. Before you begin a course it is important that you review your skills, many of us have skills that we do not realise but would be useful during your course. An ILP also gives our tutors get a better understanding of you as a learner.

Q. Will I get to see what is written on my ILP?

A. Yes, we will email you a copy of your ILP.

Q. What happens if my learning aims change?

A. As you progress your ILP will change with you. It is important to keep reviewing your ILP.

Q. Where will the information on my ILP be stored?

A. As with all the paperwork within the Online Learning Centre the ILP is a confidential document. We do not share the information.
